Here is a very rare and quite unknown Japanese limited edition of The Art of Metal Gear Solid 2, released in Japan in 2002. Actually, it also includes Metal Works The Perfect, which is an official Konami strategy guide. It was released exclusively at KonamiStyle.com for 5,800 yens. Now, you'd rather be willing to spend at least 10,000 yens if you do want it.

The set is packed into a black leatherette slipcase, and both volumes have new covers, although the contents are unchanged. Furthermore, 100 pre-order customers receive a copy of the E3 2001 preview pamphlet signed by Shinkawa and series director Hideo Kojima.(source: IGN.com)

I will not comment on the MGS2 Artbook (every collector should already own it!), but let's say a few words about Metal Works The Perfect. It is a great strategy guide whose aim is to teach how to beat the game in extreme mode and get the Big Boss ranking. The book itself is very nice with brown paper and hardcover. Although this guide is in Japanese, it comes with a DVD which is basically a video tutorial. It features impressive footage of someone completing the game to the Big Boss requirements and other content such as MGS Special footage...
